Communist Party of Czechoslovakia and Parliamentary Elections in 1925
KOLAŘÍK, Petr
This diploma thesis deals with the development of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia during the years 1921-1925, its work in the party-political system of the first Czechoslovak Republic and the elections to the National Assembly, which took place in November 1925, in which it measured forces and popularity against other political parties. This was the first parliamentary election for the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia since its inception. Despite this, it was a huge success, gaining almost one million electoral votes, making it the second strongest party in the whole Czechoslovakia. Greater attention is paid to the internal party disputes that accompanied the party during its development throughout almost all of the 1920s, the Communist Party's attitudes towards the state regime, the methods of spreading Marxist-Leninist ideology during the election campaign and the election results from a communist point of view.
